The Chill-Its® 6668 Hi-Vis Safety Cooling Vest is constructed with advanced polymer-embedded technology that activates with water, delivering hours of core cooling relief. The vest comprises three layers: an ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R, Class 2 high visibility shell, a polymer-embedded mid-layer, and a water-repellent liner that aids in keeping wearers dry. It is designed to be lighter and less bulky compared to most cooling vests available. The breathable mesh at the bottom enhances airflow and minimizes excess water dripping onto clothing. Interior loops in the neckline accommodate cooling towels for added relief, while the vest also includes two lower interior pockets, one chest exterior pocket, and a zippered closure for convenience. For optimal performance, it is advised to wear the vest over a t-shirt. Although the water-repellent liner helps maintain dryness when activated, some dampness may be felt. To activate the vest, soak it in water for 2-5 minutes; the embedded polymers will retain water for up to four hours of cooling relief, and can be reactivated by soaking again. It is recommended to hand wash and hang dry the vest. This high visibility cooling vest is particularly suited for hot job sites that require ANSI 107 compliance, such as road construction, municipalities, and baggage handling.
