The Chill-Its® 6668 Hi-Vis Safety Cooling Vest utilizes advanced polymer-embedded technology that activates with water to deliver hours of core cooling relief. It includes a three-layer construction featuring an ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R, Class 2 high visibility shell, a polymer-embedded mid-layer, and a water-repellent liner to keep wearers dry. The vest is designed to be lightweight and less bulky than traditional cooling vests, with breathable mesh at the bottom to enhance airflow and prevent excess water from dripping onto clothing. Loops inside the neckline allow the insertion of cooling towels for additional neck relief, and it comes equipped with two lower interior pockets, one chest exterior pocket, and a zippered closure for easy on and off. For optimal performance, it is recommended to wear this vest over a T-shirt; however, some dampness may be felt internally when activated. The vest employs evaporative cooling technologies, which work similarly to sweat by using an external water source to draw heat away, helping to regulate body temperature. To activate the vest, soak it in water for 2-5 minutes, allowing the embedded polymers to retain moisture for up to four hours of cooling relief. It is suitable for hand washing and hanging dry.
