The Chill-Its® 6668 Hi-Vis Safety Cooling Vest is crafted with advanced polymer-embedded technology that activates with water, offering hours of core cooling relief. The vest is composed of three layers: an ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R, Class 2 high visibility shell, a polymer-embedded mid-layer, and a water-repellent liner to help keep wearers dry. Designed to be lighter and less bulky than typical cooling vests, it includes breathable mesh along the bottom to enhance airflow and prevent excess water from dripping. The vest features loops along the interior neckline for inserting cooling towels, two lower interior pockets for storage, one chest exterior pocket, and a zippered closure for easy on and off. For optimal results, it is recommended to wear the vest over a t-shirt, although wearers may notice some dampness when the water-repellent liner is activated. The cooling mechanism draws heat away from the body, helping to regulate temperature while providing comfort on hot days. To activate, soak the vest in water for 2-5 minutes; the embedded polymers retain moisture for up to four hours of cooling relief and can be reactivated by re-soaking.
