The Chill-Its® 6667 wet evaporative cooling vest is crafted from a lightweight PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) material that provides immediate cooling relief to the core area. This cooling vest features breathable mesh panel siding, enhancing comfort compared to heavier alternatives. It includes a front zipper for easy on/off and a customized fit. To activate the vest, simply run it under water and wring it out; no ice or refrigeration is required. The PVA material is super evaporative, feeling cooler than ambient air and maintaining comfort for up to 4 hours. It is particularly effective in dry environments, with cooling capabilities potentially diminished in humid conditions. The design incorporates side mesh panels for breathable, moisture-wicking comfort, and the vest is machine washable, requiring hang drying for extended life. As it dries, the vest will stiffen, but it can be reactivated and softened by running it underwater.
