The Glowear 8217BA Class 2 Hi-Vis 5-Point Breakaway Safety Vest features durable yet breathable ANSI/ISEA compliant polyester mesh and a innovative 5-point breakaway design, ensuring maximum visibility and protection against mechanical entanglement. This vest is constructed from rugged, durable 100% polyester, providing resistance in tough working conditions and the strength to support extra weight in its cargo pockets. It includes three strategically placed pockets: an open-top lower right exterior pocket for tools and notebooks, and two interior pockets—one upper left flap open-top pocket and one lower left pocket, suitable for field books, tape, and cell phones. Additional features comprise an upper left mic tab for safety glasses or pens, and 2" ANSI-compliant reflective tape for enhanced visibility both day and night. The vest meets ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 Type R Class 2 standards and is self-extinguishing, treated to prevent after-flame, and tested to ASTM D6413 test method. It is not designed for use in an arc flash or flash fire application, and offers a comfortable fit with a lowered shoulder breakaway to avoid irritation, ensuring both safety and comfort for users in various high-visibility roles.
