Skullerz® Baldr safety glasses feature a full-frame design and non-slip rubber temples for a secure fit and resistance to sweat. These glasses include polycarbonate lenses that protect against impacts and filter 99.9 percent of harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. They are available in a variety of lens options to suit different tasks and light environments, including Clear (95% visual light transmission), In/outdoor (50% VLT), Smoke (16% VLT), and Yellow (91% VLT). The durable frames are designed to bend and flex without breaking, and the integrated accessory receptors at each temple enhance airflow when accessories are not in use. For additional safety, an elastic retainer strap or foam gasket insert can be attached to the temples (both sold separately). These impact-resistant safety glasses are tested to ANSI Z87.1+ high-velocity impact protection and optical requirements and are marked on the frame. Additionally, they comply with MIL-PRF-32432 ballistic fragmentation, class 1 standards, which are part of the US military combat eye protection specifications. To meet military standards, the glasses must withstand a steel projectile shot at 660 ft/201 m per second, which is four times faster than the Z87+ standard, ensuring that lenses do not puncture, crack, or shatter and that frames retain the lenses without breaking. They are suitable for outdoor work such as construction, carpentry, or landscaping, as well as outdoor hobbies like boating, skiing, fishing, hunting, and sports.
