Skullerz® Baldr polarized safety glasses are designed with a full-frame construction and non-slip rubber temples to ensure a secure fit while resisting sweat. The glasses come with polycarbonate lenses that provide impact protection and filter out 99.9 percent of harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. The frames are highly durable, flexing and bending without breaking. Integrated accessory receptors located at each temple enhance airflow when not in use, and an elastic retainer strap or foam gasket insert can be attached for additional safety, though these are sold separately. The polarized lenses are effective in reducing glare and eye fatigue, making them suitable for bright environments such as water and snow, thus protecting against harsh reflections. These glasses meet ANSI Z87.1+ standards for high-velocity impact protection and optical clarity, and they also comply with MIL-PRF-32432 ballistic fragmentation, ensuring they can withstand a steel projectile shot at 660 ft / 201 m per second, which is four times faster than the Z87+ standard. The lenses are designed to resist puncturing, cracking, and shattering, and the frames must securely hold the lenses in place.
