The kit features the powerful AirSpade® 5000 utility air-excavation tool equipped with the AirSpade® Supersonic Nozzle, designed for superior digging performance, making it ideal for safely uncovering underground electric, gas, water, or telecommunication lines. It includes an in-line style handle for vertical gripping applications, and it harnesses the power of compressed air through a proprietary nozzle fabricated from non-sparking bronze, generating a laser-like air jet that moves at twice the speed of sound. The rugged, lightweight aluminum handle has a full-size grip opening that accommodates linesman's gloves, while a comfortable plastic grip provides thermal protection and electrical insulation. Safety features include a dead-man trigger and a trigger guard to prevent accidental activation, along with an integral pressure gauge for optimal digging performance. The kit is equipped with a 3/4'' NPT compressed air inlet with a 3/4'' swivel type universal coupler, and a screw-on, electrically insulated fiberglass barrel rated to 300kV to protect operators from high-voltage utility lines. Additionally, brass barrel sleeves and connectors minimize sparking potential, and an adjustable rubber dirt shield deflects soil and debris. The kit also includes a 225kV rated insulated 3 ft fiberglass extension with a brass coupler, a 45-degree non-sparking brass angled adaptor, a 1'' x 10' lightweight air hose, a heavy-duty locking storage case, and a detachable auxiliary handle.
