The kit features the powerful AirSpade® 5000 utility air-excavation tool equipped with an AirSpade® supersonic nozzle for superior digging performance, making it ideal for safely uncovering underground electric, gas, water, or telecommunication lines. The in-line style handle is designed for applications where gripping the tool in a vertical position is preferred. The AirSpade® 5000 harnesses the power of compressed air by incorporating a high-performance, proprietary AirSpade® supersonic nozzle, fabricated from non-sparking bronze, which generates a laser-like air jet that moves at twice the speed of sound, ensuring faster and more effective digging. The rugged, lightweight aluminum handle features a full-size grip opening to accommodate linesman's gloves, while a comfortable plastic grip provides thermal protection and a degree of electrical insulation. A dead-man trigger ensures safe operation, and a trigger guard prevents accidental activation. An integral pressure gauge ensures optimal digging performance, and a 3/4'' NPT compressed air inlet is equipped with a 3/4'' swivel type universal coupler. The screw-on, electrically insulated fiberglass barrel is rated to 300kV, protecting operators from buried high-voltage utility lines, while brass barrel sleeves and connectors minimize sparking potential. An adjustable rubber dirt shield deflects soil and debris. The kit also includes a 225kV rated, insulated 3 ft fiberglass extension with brass coupler, a 45-degree non-sparking brass angled adaptor, a 1'' x 10' lightweight air hose, and a heavy-duty locking storage case. Additionally, a detachable auxiliary handle is included.
