The Dremel® EZ Lock starter kit, model EZ406-02, transforms your Dremel® rotary tool into a powerful cutting machine, including an EZ402 mandrel and five EZ456 fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheels. The cut-off wheels are designed to last 2x longer than the 426 model and feature a durable construction reinforced with fiberglass, making them suitable for cutting, trimming, and grooving various metals, including hardened steel. With a working diameter of 1-1/2 in. (38.1 mm) and a blade thickness of 1/16 in. (1.1 mm), these wheels are ideal for tasks such as cutting bolt heads, reslotting damaged screws, and trimming metal rods, as well as performing delicate woodworking and working with materials like wood, plastics, and ceramics. The EZ Lock system allows for accessory changes that are six times faster than using a standard mandrel. Dremel® accessories are also color-coded by usage categories, with cutting accessories identified by a red color code.
