The MultiTherm Touch is designed for versatility in temperature applications, ranging from denaturation of DNA to maintaining samples at 4°C after protocols. It features an expanded speed range of up to 3,000 RPM and a large full-color touch screen for easy programming and status monitoring. Users can store up to fifty programs, each consisting of five steps, with advanced programming features that include adjustable ramp rates, interval and directional mixing, and preheat options. A "short" button allows for immediate maximum speed mixing. The system accommodates fifteen block options for samples ranging from 0.2 mL to 50 mL, including a variety of plates, and blocks can be interchanged tool-free with automatic software recognition. The unit is designed with insulation to protect users from hot surfaces and maintain block temperature, while the optional heated lid helps prevent condensation by warming the air in tubes up to 5 mL and microplates. The MultiTherm Touch is backed by a 2-year warranty, although blocks and the heated lid must be purchased separately.
