The NextPette™ development project was initiated based on feedback from researchers and technicians, resulting in the creation of an ultra-lightweight and ergonomic pipettor designed for durability, accuracy, and precision. The kit includes an easily accessible volume adjustment system that streamlines the volume selection process. A uniquely positioned volume dial allows for easy one-handed adjustment with the user's thumb, and the volume display is positioned on the side facing the user, eliminating the need to rotate the pipettor for visibility. The innovative asymmetrical plunger button can be adjusted to match user comfort, rotating between a traditional larger diameter feel and a narrower thumb-shaped contour. The materials and components were meticulously chosen to minimize weight while ensuring durability and long service life, with stainless steel plungers for models 1UL, 10UL, 5000, and 10,000L, and ceramic plungers for models 20UL, 200UL, and 1000UL, all utilizing durable PTFE seals. Designed for easy maintenance, the pipettors can be disassembled with ease, and comes with silicone lubricant. Recalibration can be performed in the lab without tools, with the instruction manual providing detailed information on checking pipetting accuracy and recalibration procedures. The entire pipettor is autoclavable, offering compliance with laboratory standards.
