The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 42"W x 96"H teardrop upright frame, constructed from closed steel tubing, which provides 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back "roll formed" columns. Its tear drop design facilitates easy installation without tools, reducing time and labor costs. Each upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments, offering enhanced durability and lower maintenance costs. The vertical holes are strategically placed on the column's face to minimize strength loss, while a formed ridge on the column increases cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the column's side can accommodate bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The frame includes full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout its height, and heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights for efficient load dispersion. The footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates and multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchor placement. The footpads are flush with the column's sides, ensuring full seating of floor-level load beams. Welds between the braces and column are full fillet welds, providing greater strength than spot-welds. The weight capacity is based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
