The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 42"W x 144"H Teardrop Upright Frame (RTFAP042144F01PB) constructed of closed steel tubing, which offers 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back "roll formed" columns. The teardrop design allows for easy installation without tools, enabling significant savings in time and labor. Each upright frame permits 2" vertical beam adjustments and is designed to enhance durability, lower maintenance costs, improve safety, and extend service life. Holes are strategically placed on the column's face to minimize strength loss, while a formed ridge increases cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the column's side enable the use of bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The frame includes full diagonal and horizontal bracing along its height, with heavy 10-gauge footpads welded directly to the uprights for efficient load dispersion. The footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates and multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchor placement. Additionally, the footpads are flush with the column's sides, ensuring full "seating" of floor level load beams. Welds between braces and the column are full fillet welds, providing greater strength than standard spot-welds, with a weight capacity based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
