The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 42"W x 216"H Teardrop Upright Frame (RTFBP042216F01PB) constructed from closed steel tubing, offering 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back "roll formed" columns. Its tear drop design facilitates tool-free installation, enhancing efficiency. Each upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments, promoting durability and reduced maintenance costs. The design minimizes strength loss with holes placed on the column's face, complemented by a formed ridge that boosts cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the side accommodate bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The frame features full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout its height, while heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded to the uprights for better load distribution. The footpads include a formed ridge for shim plate nesting and multiple offset anchor holes for flexibility in anchor placement. Additionally, the footpads are level with the column's sides, ensuring complete "seating" of floor level load beams. Full fillet welds between braces and columns enhance structural integrity, and the weight capacity is determined based on 36in vertical beam spacing.
