The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 42"W x 240"H teardrop upright frame (RTFBP042240F01PB) constructed from closed steel tubing, which provides 44 times greater resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back "roll formed" columns. The tear drop design facilitates easy installation without the need for tools, enhancing efficiency in both time and labor costs. Each upright frame supports 2" vertical beam adjustments and offers increased durability, reduced maintenance costs, improved safety, and an extended service life. The column design includes holes placed on the face rather than the corners to minimize strength loss, and a formed ridge on the column enhances cross-section strength and rigidity. Additionally, accessory holes on the column's side permit the installation of bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The upright frame incorporates full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout its height, while heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights to improve load dispersion. The footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates and include multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchoring options. The footpads are flush with the column's sides, ensuring complete seating of floor level load beams, and full fillet welds at the juncture of braces and columns provide superior strength compared to spot welds. The weight capacity is based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
