Pediatric electrodes (Pedi-Padz II) for the Zoll® AED Plus® (sold separately) are designed for use with the AED Plus® defibrillators and compatible with professional defibrillators, facilitating continuity of care from home to hospital. They utilize intelligent pediatric capability, featuring text and voice prompts, applying separate energy levels for pediatric patients, and employing specific algorithms to analyze a child's heart rate compared to an adult's. These electrodes can be used to defibrillate children up to eight years of age and have a two-year shelf life. When connected, the AED recognizes the Pedi-Padz® II and automatically proceeds with a pediatric ECG while adjusting energy levels to pediatric specifications.
