Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, this shelving unit features 8 adjustable shelves, which are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 1 shelves are fabricated from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers, front and back, for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving unit supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
