Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with options for medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system includes 8 adjustable shelves that are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, while the top left corner is stamped for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges and return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are strategically spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to reinforce structural integrity. The top surface is punched for the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is constructed to withstand impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
