Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is expertly designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles, with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The shelves, fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The design includes two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and is stamped on the top left corner for identification. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching various accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving system is suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
