Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation. It is available in open and closed styles, featuring medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and have identification stamps on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel and incorporate roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center to maximize strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched to accommodate shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right, front and back, for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
