Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with options for medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate diverse shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold-rolled sheet steel, the unit features 6 adjustable shelves. Each shelf has two formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with stamped identification in the top left corner. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold-rolled sheet steel, characterized by roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that incorporate return bends, resistant welded to the underside for enhanced support. Welds are spaced every 3 inches on center to maximize structural integrity. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a sturdy construction. The top surface is punched to facilitate the attachment of shelf dividers at 1-1/2-inch intervals for 36-inch wide shelves with depths of 12, 15, 18, and 24 inches; other dimensions are punched on 3-inch centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge protects against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
