Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system features eight adjustable shelves that are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. Class 2 shelves, crafted from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, include roll formed rectangular tubular shapes at the front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, ensuring maximum strength with weld spacing of 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for enhanced rigidity. The top surface is designed with punch holes for attaching shelf dividers spaced at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge offers protection against impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
