Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. The corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Both front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving system can support uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
