Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, providing maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance the rigidity and strength of the shelf. The top surface is designed with punch holes for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves and at 3" centers for all other sizes. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving is capable of handling uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
