Hallowell® Hi-Tech Shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving unit includes 6 adjustable shelves with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside of the shelf at welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, making this shelving ideal for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
