Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is engineered for strength and versatility, making it suitable for various industrial applications. Each shelving unit is constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, ensuring durability for daily use over a lifetime. The free-standing shelving features easy assembly and installation, with a design that includes two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and identification stamping in the top left corner. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, characterized by roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, featuring welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded, providing added strength and rigidity. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with other sizes punched at 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to absorb impact loads, capable of supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 800 pounds.
