Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is constructed with cold rolled sheet steel for durability and is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation. The shelving system is available in open and closed styles, featuring medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. Each unit includes six adjustable shelves, with Class 1 shelves fabricated from heavy gauge steel that incorporates roll-formed rectangular tubular front and rear edges, resistance welded to the underside for maximum strength. The shelves are engineered with welds spaced 3 inches on center and triple flanged sides to create a robust channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance structural integrity. The top surface is punched to facilitate the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2 inch centers for shelves measuring 36 inches wide by 12, 15, 18, or 24 inches deep; other sizes feature punch holes on 3-inch centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachments, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
