Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 6 adjustable shelves. Each shelf features two formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and is stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Weld spacing is 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right, front and back, for shelves that measure 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched to allow for the attachment of accessories. Additionally, the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
