Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are fabricated from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside, while welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide shelves that are 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are similarly punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
