Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves include two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamps located on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel and incorporate roll formed rectangular tubular shapes on the front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for enhanced strength; welds are spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for additional stability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces feature additional punch-outs for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
