Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 6 adjustable shelves and incorporates two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers in the front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
