Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is engineered for quick and straightforward assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to cater to varying shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped for identification in the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
