Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate specific shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, resistance welded to the underside to enhance strength, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum durability. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on 36" wide shelves, with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24"; other sizes have punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, while the tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads. This shelving can support uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
