Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid and straightforward assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, this shelving unit includes 8 adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and stamped in the top left corner for identification. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the shelf's underside, with welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance the shelf's rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, whereas all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads, making the shelving suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
