Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is crafted for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with options for medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to meet various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, this shelving includes 5 adjustable shelves designed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure and enhanced strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, whereas all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched to accommodate accessories. The tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
