Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, it features eight adjustable shelves. The shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and include roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center to provide maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for a rigid corner, adding extra strength to the shelf. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers front and back for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving system is used for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
