Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles tailored to various shelving capacity requirements with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges featuring return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for rigidity and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to resist impact loads, allowing for uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
