Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line suitable for most industrial applications, engineered for long-lasting durability under daily use. Each free-standing shelving unit is constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, designed for efficient assembly and installation. The shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamps located at the top left corner. Class 1 shelves are made from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, showcasing roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside, and welds spaced 3" on center for enhanced strength. The sides are triple flanged, forming a channel, while all corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure structural integrity. The top surface includes punch holes for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers for selected shelf sizes (36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep), whereas all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessories attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. The shelving is rated for uniformly distributed loads up to 800 pounds.
