Hallowell® Hi-Tech® shelving is a robust shelving line engineered to handle various industrial applications while providing the versatility required for modern facilities. Each shelving unit is constructed from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel with a design that ensures durability and integrity during daily use. The free-standing shelving features a fast and easy assembly process. Each unit is formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and includes identification stamping on the top left corner. The Class 1 shelves possess roll-formed rectangular tubular-shaped front and rear edges, with return bends that are resistance welded to the shelf's underside, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance stability and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes will have punches on 3" centers. Additionally, both the front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically crafted to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 800 pounds.
