Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is expertly crafted for swift and straightforward assembly and installation, offering both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity needs. The heavy-duty adjustable shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and are stamped in the top left corner for easy identification. Class 1 shelves are constructed from heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel with roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges, enhanced by return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for durability. The welds are spaced 3" on center ensuring maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Additionally, all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to produce a robust design, enhancing the shelf's strength. The top surface is pre-punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers from left to right, front and back, for shelves measuring 36" wide with depths of 12", 15", 18", and 24"; other sizes have punchings at 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is engineered to withstand impact loads. This shelving unit accommodates uniformly distributed loads of up to 800 pounds.
