Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with a range of medium, heavy, and extra heavy-duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium-duty shelves feature two formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamped on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel and include roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside for added strength. Weld spacing is 3" on center to maximize durability, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is designed with punch holes for shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes feature punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is engineered to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
