Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate diverse shelving capacity needs. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, incorporating roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, ensuring maximum strength. The welds are spaced 3" on center, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded, enhancing the shelf's rigidity and durability. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Accessory attachment is facilitated by punched front and rear surfaces, and the tubular front edge design provides protection against impact loads. This shelving system supports uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
