Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The shelves, classified as Class 2, are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges featuring return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid construction and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is engineered to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
