Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the system includes 5 adjustable shelves formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf, with welds spaced 3" on center for maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure a rigid structure and added strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching various accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to absorb impact loads, making it suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
