Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge and stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves have roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces include punch holes for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads. The shelving is rated for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
