Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to cater to varying shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All corners are lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid structure and additional strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads. This shelving accommodates uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
