Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 5 adjustable shelves; each shelf is formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and is stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, all resistance welded to the underside of the shelf for maximum strength. The welds are spaced 3" on center, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
