Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to suit various shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving includes 8 adjustable shelves formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for added strength, with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for the 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
