Hallowell® Hi-Tech® metal shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable extra heavy duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edge, and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside to ensure durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded for a rigid structure that enhances the shelf's strength. The top surface is punctured for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with other sizes punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
